Modesat is a market-oriented R&D company with more than 60% of budget invested into research and development activities annually. Most of the research efforts are concentrated on delivering new spectrally efficient and reliable physical layer solutions, which are then productized as IP cores and structured ASIC chips.
The major breakthrough was achieved by developing the PilotSync™ linear synchronization scheme for signal recovery, which has led to a range of new high capacity products.
R&D activities are divided between the Modesat different locations. Applied research is conducted in Gomel, Belarus, and product development in Tallinn, Estonia.
Modesat is a member of the Integral Satcom Initiative, project partner in the Competence Centre for Electronics and Information and Communication Technologies, and founding member of the Estonian Competence Centre of Space Technologies.
