All-indoor trunk radios represent a small, but important backhaul segment. Trunk radios are designed for long-haul applications and incorporate typically different diversity (space diversity, frequency diversity) and protection schemes (such as 1+1) for better reliability and performance. Catering long distances, the solutions have to be robust to environmental conditions, but have more design flexibility due to better availability of spectrum.
