TDM only is roughly half of the low to medium capacity market and one-fifth of entire PtP radio market. These radios use multiple E1/T1 interfaces, which are then multiplexed and transmitted. Large portion of these radios use E3 data source or Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH) interfaces. However, the market for such radios is diminishing, though quantity wise the market still remains to be important.
Modesat offers E1/T1 or E3 based modem solutions for low to medium capacity TDM radios. For a robust performance of a radio, modulation rates can be lowered and modem architecture simplified to meet stricter BoM requirements.
