Higher throughput PilotSync™ technology enables working with near-zero roll-off at any bandwidth and modulation scheme. Since the Pilot tone is located within the signal bandwidth, no additional bandwidth is required. The synchronization algorithm is independent of the modulation order used, facilitating use in adaptive environments. Native interoperability with all QAMs is maintained.
Extended signal coverage PilotSync™ technology is capable of maintaining synchronization down to SNR as low as -6 dB. The technology is compliant with new generations of forward error correction, which will lead to gains of several dB in implementation. These gains can be used by operators to improve signal quality and extend the signal coverage area.
Fastest signal recovery and adaptivity All signals necessary for synchronization (carrier and symbol frequencies, AGC, equalizer) are recovered in parallel and there is no ambiguity in the recovered signal. Seamless runtime switching of modulation levels is possible without the need to resynchronize. Significantly lower cost bill of material The PilotSync™ technical features enable design of modems with light architecture and at minimum cost.
Future proof Inherently compatible with future generations of QAM modulation and Forward Error Correction codes
