Modesat’s patented PilotSync™ technology increases the throughput and reliability of wireless and wired transmission channels. The PilotSync™ synchronization scheme is based on a reference pilot tone within the signal bandwidth, which is orthogonal to the information signal and is independent of the modulation order used. On the receive side, the pilot tone allows to greatly simplify the receiver implementation and significantly improve receiver performance.
All necessary signals and parameters are recovered in parallel using PilotSync™ technology. The synchronization algorithm is fully linear and makes efficient use of resources, leading naturally towards implementation on existing silicon platforms.
